Willa's Summer Vacation

Willa had a good lazy summer down in Florida with me! It was super hot, and she was ridden about once a week if anything. She turned really light just on her neck from wearing a fly sheet while in turn out. She had the life!

Now Willa is back in Jersey at school and she is being cared for by Mary Metcalf. As well as getting her butt back into shape!

I purchased a customized halter for her too! (see picture below) It's pretty much awesome. She went through about 2 sets of halters and leads this summer. They kept getting rusted shut, so they were difficult to use. Her new halter will be used when I make my way back to Jersey myself.

Even though my mini, Clover and Willa were back in the same city, they still were not re-united. :( Clover coliced really bad in May and was in recovery all summer at R Ranch. Now she is going back to Horseshoe Acres to live outside in a huge grassy field.

Last weekend we had another show and Willa placed 2nd in the hack, and got two 1sts, and a 3rd over fences as well as GRAND CHAMPION! Shes so great!! Willa has also been wonderful in her lessons! :) We qualified for another show at Palermo this weekend (where we have the chance to win a saddle) but the Hunter Jumper team isn't going. :(

This weekend we will be preparing for GARDEN STATE HORSESHOW!! I'm so excited for it! I've always heard about it since I was little but never knew I would actually go one day!! I think we're doing 2'9 division maybe thursday and friday.

Willa and I are leaving New Jersey on Friday May 14th for Florida! I'm so excited to see her all summer instead of just once a week like last summer.

Perfect Pony Face!

Willamonster has been PERFECT lately. In her lessons, at practice, and at the horseshow yesterday!! We won reserve!! One 4th place and three 2nd places! YAYYYY Monster!!!

I'm sooooo proud of her. We are going to do the 2'9 at Gardenstate this year! I can't wait. We just have to work on her spookyness and being more pokey. Aparently that's what the judges like! :)

OOOH! Exciting news! Willa is coming home to Florida with me this summer! She'll be staying at a super nice barn that's on the way home from work! I can't wait to ride her all summer! :) It's going to be the best summer ever!!

Willa's Wild Life!

Woah Willa!

Today Willa and I were coming from a line of jumps into the turn. But the next class was getting on their horses and walking around, so we had double the amount of horses in the ring.

So we were coming around the corner, and there were many horses, but I couldn't see if there was space for me to turn. It turns out there wasn't space so I had to stop Willa towards the fence, but as I was stopping her into the fence, she stopped on time, but her nose went forward and hit the gate which made it fling open into spectators! It was the most epic course ever.



Willaface was sooo good today for practice, I'm so proud of her. We have our first horse show with the Hunter Jumper team tomorrow at Duncraven! We're doing the Schooling Hunters. I hope shes good! :)
